CS Beauty Review: Loreal Paris True Match

Finally, I have time to tell you about this new beauty product that I have fallen in love with and its available at your local drug store, Walmart, and Target. Honestly, it is an old product but new to some. This is the Loreal Paris True Match foundation. I have been interested in this foundation for quite sometime now and I must say that it is my new favorite. I have literally tossed out the Cover Girl Queen collection because the coverage here lately did not suite my fancy.

CS Beauty Review: CoverGirl Queen Collection 3in1

It's review time!!!! I have been wanting to try the Covergirl Queen Collection Foundation for a while now and my chance finally came when I found it on BOGO 50% off at Walgreens. They are reasonably priced at around $12.99 which beats MAC, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, etc. on any good day but merchants do vary. BOGO is a great option when trying to find the perfect match for your skin tone. My two options I tried for my skin tone were Sheer Espresso and Spicy Brown. A little more about this product is that it is 3in1. The 3in1 means it is a powder, concealer, and foundation all in one. The packaging states "All-day flawless coverage Lasting power of powder, coverage of concealer, and blendability of a foundation in one. Shine free".  Another great thing is that this foundation has a sunscreen of SPF 20. Being that this is a water based foundation, do keep in mind that most drug store foundations tend to sit for sometime so its best to be sure that you shake the product really well before dispensing.

Out of the two colors chosen, Spicy Brown complimented my skin tone best. If I had to rate it on a scale of  1 to 10, I give this foundation a strong 10!  In comparison to my MAC kinda love, I will choose the Queen Collection for any occasion. The coverage is amazing and it does not take too much for an application.

Here's a swatch of the foundation:

This is some good stuff! Look at the above photos and see how good this stuff applied just after 2mins of application. The coverage is beautiful and although, I am not old, it does give my hand a more youthful yet natural appearance. I love it! This will be a constant foundation in my collection.

Here are some photos of me wearing the 3in1:

This foundation is the bomb.com!!!! This is my new found love in drugstore cosmetics next to those Wet'nWild MegaLast lipticks.
Pros:
  • Application is great.
  • It comes packaged as a pump dispenser. *Less Germs*
  • It did not leave me with an oily mess of a face. Even after hours of wearing it.
  • This collection comes in an array of colors for women of color.
  • It actually didn't rub off, now that I think of it!!! Thank the make-up Gods!!!
  • I will be using this until I can't get it anymore...
Cons:
  • Being that it's a drug store foundation and at times product is not rotated as it should be, you will need to be sure to shake this foundation really good before an application.
  • No others I can think of...This is really a great foundation to own.
Only mishap you see is where my glasses were sitting on my nose, but no shiny face here and coverage still intact!!!!

Will you be trying CoverGirl Queen Collection 3in1??? If so, let me know how it works for you.

CS Organize: Makeup Storage

Hello Beauties!!!! I am coming at you with a few tips and tricks that were applied to situating my makeup sensibly. My makeup haven has gotten just out of hand and I had grown tired of the mess!! I guess I'm just nesting (a pregger thing), LOL!!! Well, I ventured to my local Dollar Tree and Family Dollar to assist in organizing this jungle of a mess.

 Here is the Jungle:

And After. The shelf was purchased from Family Dollar for only $5!!!! Whoop!!! Whoop!!!

These two transparent(plastic) turquoise bens were purchased from Dollar Tree. These are used to hold my lipsticks, powders, and blushes. I will be returning to purchase a few more because I want to get rid of the vertical drawer unit.

This tin can is a MAC container that was gifted when I purchased one of their gift sets a while back. It had a lid, but I broke it off because I saw no use for it to me. I use this to store all my pencils for the time being.
Here is my drawer unit that I just kept until I get more bens. I keep lip gloss, primers, everyday go to items, and etc. in this unit. That's just my mirror on top. And my container in which I keep my wipes. Disregard the plug-in...LOL!!!

My palettes have been my most go to items, so I purchased this mail sorter, I guess you call it, to stack my palettes for easy grab and use.
The idea for my brush holders was discovered on Youtube!!! There are so many cool ways to store your brushes, but this seem to be the best, easy, and most affordable way for me!! These are candle holders pruchased from Dollar Tree and added the marble like rocks for decor. They are not in any particular order but I think I did good. :-)
My Caboodle/Traincase is used to hold the 'extras' which is stuff that has either never been opened or just isn't used as much. Don't let the outside fool ya, keep scrolling.
Extra eyeshadows, newbie items, lashes, loose eyeshadows, and etc.

Hope you all enjoyed me sharing with you my makeup storage idea. Knowing that as time goes on, this will be revamped several times. Makeup is an addiction and a good one I must add!!! :-)

Brb...(LOL!! Remeber that Acronym-Be Right Back),

Hello Lover!!! I greet you as my lover because this is for all my makeup lovers out there. I am a sure fire makeup head and anything great, I have to share it with you all!!! This is a makeup brush review that is well long over due. Presenting realTechniques by Samantha Chapman. Samantha is a youtube guru who produced this line of brushes, and the girl did darn great with her product!! You can check her out here. I have been seeing these brushes all over Youtube, and had to have some for myself. I searched in Google where to find these beauties and they are available for purchase at Ulta stores, Ulta online, Amazon, and for sure Ebay.

Here is the blush brush and you can stand it up on the base.

I am in love you all!!! These brushes are amazing and very affordable. You don't have to go broke to have a flawless face. Lucky for me, I was able to get mine for BOGO 50% off, which is always a great thing! The black and copper brushes came as a set, and the blush brush was sold separately.  My particular favorites are the buffing brush and the blush brush because these are my go to brushes whenever I am applying my face products.

Pros

  • Provides great application
  • Hardly little to no shedding
  • Affordable
  • Very soft Bristles
  • Picks up product great!!!
  • Comes with packaging to hold the brushes
Cons
  • There are no cons to me for these brushes
If you are in need of a great not so expensive set of brushes, I encourage you to purchase these brushes here. I am itching to have the eye brush kit that she also has as a part of her brush collection.

If you liked this review, please let me know if you'd like to see more. Feel free to leave your thoughts on what you are interested in knowing.

Until next time Lovers...

Product Review: Maybeline’s Dream Fresh BB Cream

Hello Beauties!!! Today I am dropping in to share with you my feedback on the Maybeline BB Cream that I purchased a month ago. I was chatting with a fellow BLM girl named Kirsten TheDumpyDuchess Jackson about this particular product. This review is long overdue, and if you want to check out her feedback on it, just click here.

The BB Cream is a product that was mainly sold in East and Southeast Asia. The product was initially created to be a blemish balm for Asian women that wanted a lighter weight cosmetic product. The product slowly but surely made it’s way to the Western hemisphere and since the impact of BB Cream, it has poured!!! Now, you can find an array of different brands that carry their own line of BB cream.
Since I only own this one, it is all subject to provide the same thing pretty much. Maybeline’s Dream Fresh BB Cream is said to
  1. Blurs Imperfections
  2. Enhance
  3. Brightens
  4. Adjusts to skin-tone
  5. Smoothes
  6. Hydrates
  7. SPF 30 Protects
  8. 0% Oils and other heavy ingredients
This product indeed does all listed, be it that if you are looking for light to medium coverage. I have some acne scarring, so for me I may need a little more coverage. I am no way what so ever ashamed for anyone to see these scars, so for a light coverage day, this will work perfect! I use it as I would any other true foundation product. In the pictures below you will see the just of what the product did for me.

As you can see in the above picture, there are the apparent imperfections that come through the coverage of the product. The product does conceal those imperfections pretty good though.

BB Cream
In the picture above, these are the products I used to create the look in my BB cream photos.

Overall, the product is great and I recommend that you make this BB Cream an addition to your makeup collection. It will serve it’s purpose on those lighter days when you desire to have little to no makeup on. I challenge you to try Dream Fresh BB Cream.

Will you be trying any brand of BB Cream????

BFSC: 2 Piece"FatKini"

Hello Beauties!!!

Here's to my big finale of this challenge. I've finally come to the end of the BFSC and I promise you that this was my biggest challenge of them all!!!! I was without a swimsuit due to the fact that your girl cannot swim and all the ones I liked were too darn expensive to me.

Stripes and Leopard

Hello Beauties!!!!

:Last night I had some last minute plans. I went out to celebrate my homeboi's Birthday at Martinis and pulled this look together at the last minute. I did not want to wear a skirt or dress, but wanted to do a colored bottom.       I wished I had other colors for pant bottoms, and I know F21+ has an array of colored bottoms on their site but I am vowing not to buy another piece of clothing until I lose some weight. This is bet that my boyfriend and I have going on and I have got to tell you is that he has been winning so far. I got this thing and I will win! I am obsessed with shopping and it has been a struggle! Enough of that, lets get to the real reason I am here:

 FOTN and HOTN:

That thing in my shirt really made me angry!!!! Cute pic though...

On my face I decided to play with some major color! I think I achieved that with the retro look of a 70's girl and with the side swept bangs as well.

That's all for now great people!!! Hope you are having a great Sunday everyone...

P.S. Don't forget to enter my GIVEAWAY here.

New Perspective...

Hello Beauties!!!!!!!!!!

I feel like I've been gone forever! Well I am back and I have a new job!!!! Whoot whoot!!!! I no longer work the all nighters and I don't miss it at all. Thank God and as always, he makes any and everything possible...I was out of work for a month, and he blessed me to get back into the game so quickly. This week has been a busy one with the 9 to 5 gig getting off the ground for me and all. I love this job because it gives me the opportunity to express my sense of fashion and wear heels as much as I want to! I probably won't be wearing the heels like that...

I'm just here to share with you the looks I have worn so far this week. I did not manage to get the best pictures because I was rushing to do it. And I do have quite a few head shots. Hope you guys like it:

Sorry about face that I am giving in the photo below:
Blazer: Thrifted/T-shirt: Rainbow/Skirt: Lane Bryant/Tights: LYS @ Kmart/ Shoes: Torrid/Necklace: Eloquii by The Limited/Earrings: F21/Watch: MK

Again, I am so sorry about face I am giving below:
Blouse: Lane Bryant/Pants;Bangles;Ring: Ashley Stewart/Shoes: Target(seen here

In the pictures with the coral blazer, I gave the shoes away at work today. I wore them into work, but wore flats out of work. They kept flopping off my feet because they were too big! I put tissue in the toe of the shoes and it still did not work. My coworker asked where were my cute shoes and I told her if she could fit them she could have them. I was going to charge her, but when I got home I decided that I just blessed someone today. That made me feel great!!!!!

Here are pictures of my FOTDs:

Had to throw this fun one in there...this is for my sister...Love you girl!!!!

The weekend is almost here you guys!!!!!

Time for me to celebrate all the new perspectives in me life to come...

Smooches....
