Skater

Dress/Belt: ASOS(old), Tights: Random, Shoes: JustFab, Earrings: Charlotte Russe(old), Watch: Kmart by Sofia Vergara

This look is what I wore to sing at a Gospel event. How did I do?  This is another outfit re-do which is when I wore it here. This dress is super comfy and I decided to make it Fall appropriate. I did opt to wear my faux black leather all time favorite jacket (not pictured) with this dress. Here is me wearing the jacket here. Hope you guys enjoy my take on looks revisited.

Last Minute

Hello Beauties!!! This past Sunday, I had to sing on a local church program and here's to my look. I must say, I did not like none of the photos at all!!! This look was just basic and something quick and easy to sing in. I don't know what it is with me lately, but for the life of me I can't get anywhere on time or be ready in time enough to get there! This was one of those real last minute looks and from my photos you can truly tell... I promise that I will do better loves. Shopped my closet literally.

Top: Sears; Pants: Lane Bryant; Shoes: Ross by Dollhouse; Purse: Justfab.com

I know this isn't my worst look, but it sure feels that way to me! I hope you all like it :-).

The Firmoo Giveaway is officially over here on  the blog. To find out if you were one of the lucky winners, click here to see the list of winners.

Ericka of ShapElyLouise and I.

Hello Beauties!!! This past Saturday, the beautiful and oh so sweet, Ericka and I headed out for a night on the town at a local ultra lounge called Onyx. Here in my neck of the woods, venues like these tend to be holes in the wall where people sure know how to party!! This spot was very impressing to me. I loved all the white leather seating and the black lighting affect throughout the entire venue. The crowd was a bit young for me though, but overall I had a marvelous time!! I am looking forward to more hangings with my girl and more of the Onyx too! Hope you all enjoyed both looks for the night.

Also, the giveaway is open until Monday, so in the meantime, feel free to enter here

Until next time...

Mike's Crossroad

Hello Beauties!!!!

This weekend was very interesting!!! My best friend and some other friends got out to celebrate her B-day this weekend. My friend Adrian turned a youthful 27 and still hott as ever!!!! I had an awesome time as I usually do when hanging with the girls. We spent the day at the mall and after finally leaving the mall by 9:15pm we headed home to get ready to enjoy the night. The night began pretty late for us, we didn't leave home until 12:30am to even begin livin it up. We headed to Miriendas but it was dead as ever...so we down 3 shots of Tequila and danced a little bit. From there we headed to a strip club called Mike's Crossroads...you heard it right, a strip club ladies and gents. This was an experience to remember!!!! I must say it was very interesting and quite different. I had never been and I wanted to experience it so freakin bad. I choose to keep this PG-13, but all I can say is I commend the women that do what they do because they had to work really hard to get dem dollars!!!! I suggested that we girls get together more often and  in their neck of the woods is where I may possibly spend my birthday. I came to share with you the ladies of the evening and yours  truly:

The birthday Girl, Adrian
Loving the dress she is wearing and believe it or not, she purchased it from Kmart!!!!!

I don't know why but these gals are so infatuated with the fact that I have such larger breasts than theirs. The picture turned out cute though...

L to R: Latoya, Me, Adrian, and Brianna

Here are the logistics to my look for the evening:

Top: ASOS; Skirt: F21+; Shoes: Khols by Simply Vera Wang

Happy Top of the week to everyone...Be Blessed and Peace.

Last Night

Hello Beauties!!!

Last Night I went out with a few friends and partied just a little bit for Cinco De Mayo. I have heard so much about celebrating this infamous drink-a-thon day. The drinking part was not really of interest to me, I just went to show my support. I had to really throw an outfit together and this is what I came up with:

Top: LYS @ Kmart/Bodycon Skirt: F21+/Shoes: Shoedazzle.com/Clutch: Justfab.com

I went for the Neon trend last night because I hardly where any of the stuff I own. I have had these shoes for a few months now and they are comfortable as hell!! I walked a few blocks in these babies...Get it!!!

How did I do ladies?

Featured: Huffington Post

Hello Beauties!!!

My FIRST FEATURE on the HUFFINGTON POST

I have been holding out for a whole day, and I cannot believe that I held out that long!!! This October, I was contacted by an official of the Huffington Post named WendyB. Be sure and check her out!!! She is a blogger as well as a jewelry designer and I was asked to do a Peplum look to be published on the Stylelist of the Huffington Post. She was doing a style article on the Peplum look. The look was getting mixed reviews as I read in her article, and some of the most well known celebrities to date have received worse dress for wearing the look. I personally think the look is timeless as well as flattering to any figure.  Check it out for yourselves.

This feature is something that was a longtime coming and I consider this a tremendous blessing!!!

You can find the entire article and see other bloggers here .

'TIS THE SEASON FOR PEPLUMS

"Never say never"? That doesn't go far enough when it comes to fashion. The best way to predict trends is to remember my theory that "Never is the next new thing." That's because the most provocative/grating/startling looks -- the ones that make you say, "I would NEVER wear that!" -- actually have a good chance of catching on. Fashion is about change (Oscar Wilde gibed, "Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.") and change can be painful at first. But then your eye adjusts and before you know it you're wearing the skinny jeans, jeggings, mullet dresses and maxi skirts that seemed so unappealing mere months before.
The latest example is the peplum -- an overskirt, ruffle or flare at the waistline of a jacket, blouse, dress or skirt. Back in February, actress Nicole Kidman landed on multiple worst-dressed lists thanks to the white Christian Dior gown with a peplum-like detail that she wore to the Oscars. In July, when Emma Stone wore Giambattista Valli's peplum skirt in impossible-to-miss hot pink to a premiere of Friends with Benefits, reaction was still mixed. Undeterred, Stone wore a peplum dress by Valli in October, and now she has plenty of red-carpet company. In recent weeks, Emma Watson has worn a Jason Wu peplum top; Emily Blunt, a Notte by Marchesa gown; Gemma Arterton, a strapless black Stella McCartney cocktail dress; Nicole Ritchie, a red Stella McCartney; Blake Lively, feathered Chanel Couture; and Jaime King, an Alice & Olivia top. The peplum is here to stay, too. While the pink peplum dress Kerry Washington wore to a benefit in October was from Marc Jacob's Fall 2011 collection, Stella McCartney's peplum pieces are from Spring 2012.
This isn't the peplum's first time in the spotlight: it was also popular in the 1940s and 1950s, when Christian Dior's New Look emphasized a nipped-in waist, and again in the 1980s. Therefore, some fashion bloggers are picking up their peplums from thrift and vintage stores, while others are buying this season's pieces. It's hard to tell the difference. Blogger Cara of Cara's Closet bought a peplum dress for $5 in a consignment store and wore it to a wedding, where she discovered a practical advantage: "Turns out peplums are a great way for disguising 'food babies,'" she told me. With the holiday-party season getting underway, a peplum may be the best way to look fashion-forward and go crazy with the hors d'oeuvre.
See how fashion bloggers wear peplums in this slideshow. If you're inspired, you can search for "peplum" onShopStyle for new looks and eBay for vintage.
