CS Beauty Review: Loreal Paris True Match

Finally, I have time to tell you about this new beauty product that I have fallen in love with and its available at your local drug store, Walmart, and Target. Honestly, it is an old product but new to some. This is the Loreal Paris True Match foundation. I have been interested in this foundation for quite sometime now and I must say that it is my new favorite. I have literally tossed out the Cover Girl Queen collection because the coverage here lately did not suite my fancy.

As stated on the packaging, it is an oil free and an all day wear foundation. This foundation's price ranges from about $8.99 to $10.99, which is not bad, but here lately these drugstore prices have began to peak a little higher than some of us wish to pay.  In my hunt for my correct shade, I found it best to be wider ranged at Walgreens, Walmart, and Target. By the way, Walgreens will  almost always run the Loreal Paris Brand at BOGO 50% off.  I purchased my colors from Walgreens and I purchased the colors N8 and N9. The 'N' means neutral/warm under tone for Loreal Paris True Match collection. Click here to read all about the Loreal Paris True Match line.

As I stated, I did purchase two shades to get my perfect match. The colors each, alone, will work fine, but I wanted that perfect shade to suite my neck color and chest color. These foundations do tend to have an orange undertone to me, which I actually like. Because I am so used to being matched with red undertone foundations and I see that I don't like that very much. So if you are a MAC NW46-NW48, this color range should work fine for you.

This foundation is super blendable and covers pretty darn good to be a lower-end foundation. The product is a bit runny, which I must say did scare me at first. Word to the wise, use a surface other than the back of your hand (like I do all the time) because this stuff can get away from you quick. I have been wearing this foundation for about 3 weeks now and I just love the color pay-off and application of it! This foundation is suitable for combination/oily skin because it does have a matte finish which I love! I use a RealTechniques Stippling brush to apply this foundation and it blends it beautifully into the skin without much effort. I do use my MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Dark Deep to set this foundation. There is minimum to no transfer of product at all when the face is prepped properly. I really tested the waters of this foundation this past weekend by wearing it for about 13hrs and it has some amazing staying power.

Here are a few shots of me wearing the foundation:
From this past weekend.
This is from about 3wks ago.
There are a few cons I do have about the foundation. One being that there is no pump to dispense the product. I do not know if you can purchase a pump for this particular bottle but if so, please let me know. I did experience some settling of the foundation into my smile lines on each side of my mouth but that isn't such a God awful thing to me. According to what is available in your area and/or of a darker skin tone than me, you will have to search around for your True Match in this particular foundation.

If you are on the hunt for a good everyday foundation, I advise you to give Loreal Paris True Match a try. On a scale of 1-10, I give this foundation a strong 7 because it has come to top my list of favorite foundations. Go ahead, get you some...
