Magic City Classic

Hello Beauties!!!!

This past weekend was the annual Magic City Classic. This event is a huge fashion show that hosts a game between Alabama State University and Alabama A&M University. People travel from all over to participate in the festivities. Most people are alumni and others are just there for the entertainment. The crowd is massive!!! There are a ton of celebrities that come into the city to be apart of this annual event. This year included Lisa Raye, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Young Jeezy, and Rickey Smiley who is a Birmingham native. There maybe be others that I am not listing but I only heard of the few that I have listed. I had the pleasure of meeting Rickey Smiley, and I got to see Lisa Raye up close. I have to admit Lisa Raye is much prettier in person than on television.

I only participated in the tailgating festivities which was more fun than I could have imagined. This was my second time participating and I had a blast! I danced, drank, walked around, ate tons of food, and dance some more!!! I tailgated with some friends of mine and I must say they really know how to party!  I know for sure I will be going next year, but I will not be out as long as I was this time. I was at tailgate from 9am to 5pm, I pulled an entire shift! I cannot do that again ever because once i got home I was super tired! I made it home around 530pm that Saturday evening and all I can remember is waking up at 1159pm to get something to drink. My oh my, I was too tired.

Here are a few pictures I am sharing with you all from this weekend festivities:

Well, people that is all for now and I have got to be out this piece. There will be more pictures available on my personal Facebook page. I didn't get too many pictures because my phone died on me and I didn't take my camera due to the crowd.

*I will add a link to my Facebook for more pictures later*

See ya soon....

Silky Wraps

Hello Beauties!!!

I'm back.....I came today to hit you with a review on a product I recently purchased. I have had this wrap for mabye 2wks now and I'm just getting to writing this review. Sorry...

Any who, I discovered this wrap from a fellow blogger by the name of Glamorous Gleam aka Erica. She reviewed this wrap on her blog and the link is here. The wrap can be purchased at Silkywraps.com and it is well worth it. I have been having the issue with the nape of my neck not laying down completely, but mind you I already own a satin wrap. The wrap I have cannot compare to this silky wrap at all!!! Mine caused my hair to form humps at the nape of my neck and created several lumps toward the frontal part of my head and would ruin my hair looks.

The Old Wrap:
*Don't miss this one at all*

Once seeing this wrap on her site, I had to have it. The wrap does not come off at all during my lounging, sleeping, or whatever. I had a small satin inspired wrap that was a huge pain I must say that I am very please with this purchase and I encourage all my short hair gals to try this product and see if you will like it as much as I do. Below is the wrap I purchased. They have them in an array of colors and designs. I really like the jewel they stitch to the front of the Velcro closure.

SilkyWrap:

Compliments of Silkywraps.com, I was sent this sleep mask as a free gift. And as you see it matches my wrap perfectly.

*I will be trying this mask out soon from my tired night shifts at work.*

Here is me wearing the wrap:
*I was so tired in this picture*

I was very grateful to recieve the free gift because I really did not expect it and I love the appreciation.

Let me know what you think.

I love having my Silkywrap in my life!!!

BDIB: Animal Instincts

Hello Beauties!!! Today, I got out to sport my Animal Instinct with a challenge that Kristina of Pretty Shiny Sparkly is sponsoring. I am super excited to be apart of the Bloggers Do It Better family!!! Since animal prints are so in this season, I chose to bring out a few pieces that rest deep in my closet. The shoes, I got them this summer and boy are they the talk when I wear them out.

Got out today to pay a few bills at the mall, so I decided to 'strut my stuff' as long as I could stand to  in this look today. I was afraid at first to mix the prints, but it turned out better than I thought. I'm gonna have to do this more often because it pushes my since of fashion to a place that I have never been.

Ladies I hope you like it as much as I do...(:-).

Wishing everyone a great and safe week.
